The National Tennis Federation of India has demanded the postponement of the Davis Cup match against Pakistan for two months in Islamabad. The All India Tennis Association has requested the International Tennis Federation to postpone the India-Pakistan Davis Cup for two months in view of the current situation. Let us know that the Davis Cup matches are to be held in Islamabad on September 14 and 15, but due to political tension with Pakistan, India's play is considered uncertain.
Sources in the ANI said that the Indian Tennis Association wrote to the International Federation – The Indian team was to go to Pakistan under the Davis Cup, but this is not possible in the current situation. Either this tournament is outside Pakistan or it may be postponed for some time.
It is noteworthy that the All India Tennis Association (AITA) had demanded the International Tennis Federation (ITF) to conduct the tournament in a neutral place, which Pakistan refused. PTF chief Salim Saifullah had said that the federation is making all preparations to host the match in Islamabad sports complex. Saifullah had said, "We are keeping our initial schedule of hosting the match on 14-15 September and I see no reason for the Indian team to feel insecure in Islamabad."

To this, AITA Secretary Hiranyam Chatterjee said, "ITF does not understand the ground reality that has emerged after the announcement of August 5. In this situation, no player from our country can play in Pakistan. We will wait for their reply and take a decision accordingly.
