PTF chief Salim Saifullah had said that the federation is making all preparations to host the match in Islamabad sports complex. Saifullah had said, "We are keeping our initial schedule of hosting the match on 14-15 September and I see no reason for the Indian team to feel insecure in Islamabad."

Indian Tennis Association to decide after ITF reply

To this, AITA Secretary Hiranyam Chatterjee said, "ITF does not understand the ground reality that has emerged after the announcement of August 5. In this situation, no player from our country can play in Pakistan. We will wait for their reply and take a decision accordingly.

Both the countries have to play the Davis Cup match but the situation of both the countries has changed since the Government of India removed Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.
